A Bit Of Summer Fun
Some dogs just love water, as is the case with these two. Nothing would keep them from the pool! The Aussie is completely obsessed with tennis balls (or any ball for that matter) and would not give up swimming after the ball. If no one threw the ball for her.. she'd whine and bark until someone did, and if that didn't work she'd drop it in the water herself. The pup is still a bit shy about swimming but she's starting to get the hang of it. Thankfully the pool is fenced off, so no worries about unsupervised swimming. I foresee a dog hair filled pool most of the summer!

My puppy (well, not exactly, he's 11) hates the pool. I've tried to train him how to get out incase he falls in & he just clings to me or goes to the nearest side. Since he's 17# that won't work so well. :-/ Poor guy.
What kind of pup his he? Savory (the aussie) is getting up there in years too. She went to the steps just about every time but I think its because she remembered getting in there. We thought the puppy would love swimming because she would get into the water bowls and splash around, but she's very hesitant.
